YouTube Rewinds With Its Biggest Creators & Shares The Most Viral Videos Of 2015

This year's most watched YouTube videos generated 25 million hours of watch-time from channels with a collective 40 million subscribers.

In addition to releasing its top video ads of 2015, YouTube shared its most viral videos of the year.

With Silento’s “Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae” featuring the young dancer Heaven King at No. 1, YouTube says its the first time four of the top ten viral videos were from TV shows.

Two of the videos ranked in the top ten were ads – the Clash of Clans’ “Revenge” at No. 2 and the Ad Council’s “Love Has No Labels” at No. 4.

According to YouTube, this year’s top ten most viral videos generated more than 25 million hours of watch-time, and the channels behind them earned more than 40 million subscribers collectively.

The most watched music video on YouTube in 2015 was Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” from the Furious 7 soundtrack, followed by Maroon 5’s “Sugar” and Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do.” Adele’s “Hello” which was released seven weeks ago on October 22, made it into the top ten at No. 9.

To wrap up its 10th year, the site created a #YouTubeRewind for 2015 featuring a wide collection of its most popular “YouTubers” along with appearances from TV stars like James Corden and John Oliver.

“More than 150 YouTube creators from all over the world got together to relive not just the best moments of 2015,” says YouTube, “But also some of the most memorable viral clips from YouTube history.”
