Publishers using Google AdSense will now see more details about invalid traffic from activities such as accidental clicks on the ads on their sites.

Google announced Monday that, beginning with May’s payment history report, publishers will be able to see details about the discrepancies between estimated and finalized earnings due to invalid traffic.

In the example report below, the publisher had $100 deducted for Invalid Traffic in May.

This type of transparency is a long time coming. Some publishers will undoubtedly wish there was more detail about the types and causes of invalid activity. Google advises publishers that see concerning invalid activity to look at whether the ad placements on their sites could be contributing to the activity or submit an Invalid Clicks Contact form if it is unusually high.
