YouTube announced a new “Central” page for comments today, allowing users to moderate and respond to comments from a single location:
From this central page you can easily remove comments, flag comments for spam or abuse, give a thumbs up, or click over to the video watch page and reply. Quickly toggle between comments that are published on the channel, comments that are pending channel manager approval, or comments that have been marked as spam.
The new Comments page can be accessed once a user is logged in to their account by going to youtube.com/comments.
According to the announcement, YouTube “fast-tracked” the development of its central comments page and plans on adding new features in the near future, including replying inline and expanding all replies.
YouTube comments have been the focus of much criticism ever since Google integrated Google+ into YouTube’s commenting platform.
