0d6165fKara Swisher reports Shashi Seth, a top Yahoo executive who ran Yahoo Search for almost three years and more recently was in charge of the Connections Business Unit at Yahoo is no longer at the company.

Marissa Mayer, Yahoo’s CEO, reportedly sent out a memo to the Yahoo team about Shashi Seth departure.

Seth posted a message on LinkedIn about this saying:

After three years I have come to the incredibly hard decision to move on from Yahoo. I truly enjoyed working with an amazing team, that was passionate, hard working, and truly brilliant. I will miss working with them!

Shashi Seth championed Yahoo Search during the transition period to being powered by Microsoft Bing. He was the vice president in charge of Yahoo Search, Local, Shopping, Travel, Automobile, Real Estate and Small Business. Then when the search division changed, his new role was to lead Yahoo Search, Mail & Messenger, Flickr, Answers, Groups, IntoNow and other products.

Previously Seth worked at AOL, Cooliris, YouTube, Google and eBay.
