Social media marketers will be happy to learn that Twitter triggers are available again inside the popular automation tool, If This Then That (IFTTT).
IFTTT dropped Twitter triggers last September voluntarily during the midst of a lot of animosity between Twitter and developers over Twitter’s API changes. It kept Twitter “actions,” though, meaning you could continue using Twitter as the end result of some action.
With Twitter triggers now back, IFTTT users can once again do things like:
- save tweets into a Google spreadsheet, to Dropbox, Evernote and similar services
- save links from favorited tweets, or save the favorited tweets themselves, to Pocket and similar services
- automatically send tweets to Tumblr, Facebook, App.net and other social networks
- etc.
Those are just few of the new Twitter triggers that IFTTT users have already created. You can see more via this search.
