Brooke Hovey is an executive vice president at Cohn & Wolfe, where she leads the public relations firm’s Digital Innovation Group for the Americas. Based in Austin, Texas, Brooke is responsible for creating digital products and service offerings, recruiting and developing digital talent, serving as a digital thought leader and leading integrated marketing campaigns for a portfolio of top-tier clients.
Brooke’s experience spans various industries, including consumer products, retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and energy. Prior to being named Digital Innovation Group Leader, she served as managing director of the agency’s Texas office, and before that, led key accounts at GCI Group Los Angeles.
In August 2009, PRWeek named Brooke to its “Top 40 Under 40” list. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Communications.

All of the social network apps, and Dropbox.
What social media network or website do you frequent most when you’re not working?
Instagram, I’m hooked. I’ve limited my network to a close group of friends and family; it’s an amazing way to feel connected.
What’s the first thing you check on your phone in the morning?
My Outlook, then, barring no emergencies, I get to the gym.
What work challenge keeps you up at night?
Keeping up with the pace of change and innovation in digital media.
What has been the most exciting work development this year?
Winning PRWeek “Agency of the Year” and multiple “Best Places to Work” awards. I’m proud to work at Cohn & Wolfe and genuinely inspired by my colleagues daily.
How many miles have you traveled this year?
Um… No idea. But I’ve had at least two dozen JetBlue cheese boxes and mini bottles of Merlot.
What other career would you like to try?
Global food and travel blogger, or a producer for VH1 “Behind the Music.”
What does your desk look like right now?
Two monitors always, stacks of papers covered in my illegible chicken scratch, and pics of friends and family.
What is the last business book you read?
Richard Rumelt’s Good Strategy Bad Strategy: The Difference and Why It Matters.
Outside of your company’s efforts, what ad campaign or video caught your eye recently?
The Guinness Wheelchair Basketball spot definitely struck an emotional chord.
