Contact email logging rules

What’s new: This new option automatically logs all email communication with known contacts, no manual checkbox required. With this optional setting enabled, any email to or from a contact already in your CRM will be logged automatically, even if it’s sent from mobile or your regular inbox.

How it helps you
This update fills one of the biggest gaps in HubSpot’s email tracking, especially for teams who send emails on the go or frequently respond to inbound messages. By reducing missed logs and eliminating manual steps, you’ll have a more complete picture of your customer conversations. It’s ideal for field sales teams, customer success reps and anyone who relies heavily on email outside the HubSpot platform.

Research intent with Breeze Intelligence

What’s new: Built into the Breeze Intelligence add-on, this tool taps into activity across more than 200,000 websites to identify high-intent companies based on relevant topics, keywords and buyer behavior. It then cross-references that data with your site visitors to provide a full picture of which companies are in-market.

How it helps you
This is a huge step forward for teams running account-based marketing (ABM) or outbound prospecting. You can identify and prioritize companies that are already exploring your space, giving you the ability to engage earlier, tailor your messaging and close faster. Think of it as adding a layer of intent data similar to what you’d expect from platforms like 6sense, but directly inside HubSpot.

Sequences reporting advancements

What’s new: HubSpot has added a host of new performance metrics to both the Performance and Analyze tabs within the sequences tool. These updates include granular insights into calls, task completion rates, email personalization and meeting bookings by touchpoint, giving you a much deeper understanding of how your sequences are performing.

How it helps you
These insights help managers coach reps more effectively, fine-tune message timing and refine sequence structure based on what’s working, not just what’s being delivered. You’ll also get company-level reporting and a clearer picture of top-performing templates across sequences.

Custom style forms in the new Forms Editor

What’s new: You can now fully customize the appearance of HubSpot’s new forms, even when they’re embedded on external websites.

How it helps you
This update removes the biggest roadblock to adopting HubSpot’s modern form builder. Previously, if you embedded a form on a WordPress or Webflow site, you had very limited styling options due to iframe restrictions. Now, you can make HubSpot forms look completely native to your website without sacrificing the flexibility of the new editor.

Enroll records in workflows from a CRM card

What’s new: You can now trigger workflow enrollment directly from a record in the CRM using a custom button. Instead of navigating through the workflow tool or many clicks on a record to enroll a contact, company, deal or ticket manually, users can click a pre-configured button added to the CRM card to instantly enroll that record in a workflow.

How it helps you
This is a powerful quality-of-life improvement for any team that relies on manual workflows to initiate repeatable processes. Whether it’s routing inbound leads, kicking off a recycle nurture, escalating support tickets or flagging accounts as at-risk, reps can now trigger entire workflows with a single click — without leaving the record view.

Lead saved views in Sales Hub

What’s new: With this update, users can now apply filters, like lifecycle stage, activity status or custom properties, and save those views for quick access later.

How it helps you
This is a long-awaited improvement for sales teams working in the lead object. With saved views, reps can instantly filter to see only the leads that matter most to them, such as hot leads, leads with no recent activity or those missing key contact information.

It improves focus, speeds up follow-up and helps sales teams prioritize the right leads at the right time. While saved views are currently user-specific (not shared across teams), this feature lays the groundwork for stronger lead management inside HubSpot.

Enhanced deals sidebar experience

What’s new: HubSpot has updated the deal sidebar in the Sales Workspace with a more spacious layout and improved organization. When viewing a deal, users now see a split-panel summary and activity timeline, along with AI-powered guided actions and customizable property groupings.

How it helps you
This redesigned sidebar makes it easier to access everything you need about a deal at a glance without diving into the full record view. Reps can review notes, upcoming tasks and historical interactions more efficiently, while managers benefit from clearer insights into deal health and next steps.

Data Model Builder

What’s new: HubSpot has introduced a visual Data Model Builder that lets you view and manage your CRM’s structure from a single interface. You can now see how objects are related, create custom objects, update associations, manage properties and even export your full data model as an image from one centralized workspace.

How it helps you
This is a must-have tool for CRM admins, especially in complex or growing portals. Instead of jumping between multiple settings pages to manage your schema, the Data Model Builder puts everything in one place.

Smart Properties

What’s new: Use AI to auto-populate property values based on either CRM data or real-time web research.

How it helps you
Instead of relying solely on manual entry or third-party integrations, smart properties let you automate insights with flexible AI prompts. You can generate dropdowns, open text fields, multi-selects, and more, making these properties usable in reports, filters, and workflows.

Automatically format property data at the point of entry

What’s new: Automatically clean and format data as it’s entered into CRM properties. With new validation options, you can strip out unwanted characters, enforce number-only fields and standardize formatting before the data ever gets saved, right as users type or paste values into a property.

How it helps you
This update is all about data quality. Instead of relying on backend cleanup or manual enforcement, admins can now prevent messy inputs in real time. For example:

  • Strip letters from phone number fields
  • Remove special characters from ID fields
  • Block invalid formats from being saved altogether

It’s especially useful for teams handling high-volume data entry, imports or integrations where clean property data is essential for automation, reporting, or syncing with external systems.

Convert static lists to active lists

What’s new: HubSpot now lets you convert a static list into an active list with just one click. Previously, if you created the wrong list type by accident, you’d have to rebuild the list from scratch — filters, naming and all. With this update, the list ID remains intact, meaning existing workflows and reports that reference the list won’t break.

How it helps you
This is a huge time-saver for anyone who’s ever made a list-type mistake (which is… pretty much everyone). Whether you meant to create a dynamic segment but clicked “static” out of habit, or simply changed your mind, you no longer have to recreate the entire thing.

Expanded automation issue management

What’s new: HubSpot has centralized automation error reporting across workflows, pipeline automations and simple form-based triggers. With the new automation issue management interface, you can now review, filter and manage issues by error type or by affected workflow.

How it helps you
This update makes managing and resolving workflow errors much more efficient. Instead of clicking through individual workflows to uncover problems, admins can quickly see which issues are most common and which workflows are impacted. It’s especially useful for spotting recurring problems, identifying high-priority errors, and streamlining maintenance in large or complex portals.

A major plus for Professional users: the ability to ignore non-critical errors like emails to unsubscribed contacts is no longer restricted to Enterprise tiers. This change gives more teams control over which alerts require attention, helping reduce clutter and allowing ops teams to focus on what really matters.

New data sources in workflows

What’s new: HubSpot now allows you to access and act on data from related objects in workflows. You can pull in data based on shared properties and apply updates, triggers and personalization using that information.

How it helps you
This update brings a new level of flexibility to workflow automation, especially for complex use cases where relationships between records don’t follow standard associations. It’s especially helpful in cases where associations might clutter your CRM or where objects share common fields like domain name or company name. By enabling dynamic data lookups across your CRM, this feature saves time, reduces workarounds, and opens the door to more powerful automation strategies.

Monitor list performance in the new Insights tab

What’s new: HubSpot has introduced a new Insights tab for lists, allowing you to view performance metrics like list growth, email engagement and message volume over a custom date range. You can also compare performance across multiple lists side by side.

How it helps you
This update makes it significantly easier to evaluate and compare how different segments of your audience are performing. Whether you’re running campaigns across multiple regions, industries or lifecycle stages, you can now quickly identify which lists are driving the best results. With insights like open rates, click rates and recent list activity all in one place, you’ll be able to refine your segmentation strategy and make better decisions about targeting and messaging, without having to manually aggregate data across campaigns.

April’s updates reinforce a clear direction from HubSpot: more automation, more customization and fewer barriers to getting value from your CRM. Whether you’re a marketer looking to refine segmentation, a sales manager optimizing outreach, or a CRM admin trying to keep your data clean and flexible, these updates offer practical ways to work smarter.
