Working with Brandlive, on October 22 TLC’s Cake Boss will host an interactive live streamed broadcast featuring Buddy Valastro who will answer viewer questions, offer holiday baking tips and give away prizes.

The broadcast, Holiday Baking Live with Cake Boss, will be live streamed from the Cake Boss baking facility in New Jersey. Valastro will be joined by his daughter, Sofia, and Gabrielle Parisi from Carlo’s Bakery.

The trio will share holiday baking tips for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and take questions from viewers via live chat, as well.

And that’s not all. Ecommerce has been, ahem, baked in to the production, and viewers will be able to click “Buy Now” buttons embedded on top of various items during the broadcast. Hmm… It’s kinda like what “interactive TV” wanted to be in the nineties.

The show will be simulcast on the Cake Boss Facebook page and website. On the show info page, people can RSVP for the event to be entered to win a Cake Boss Airbrush Kit. Buddy will announce the winner during the live broadcast.

Here’s what the Facebook page for the broadcast looks like now:
