Amperity rolls out latest platform updates. The Customer Data Management platform announced the release of the next iteration of its AI-powered solution that allows brands to connect and leverage data to power customer 360 initiatives across their organizations. The release is slated to give users more accurate data to drive a better understanding of customers. Enhancements include an intelligent data unification engine, increased speed and scalability, segmentation control capabilities and new ways to analyze data.

Facebook SDK malfunction crashes connected apps. Issues with Facebook’s iOS SDK caused apps including Timehop, Joytune’s Simply Piano, Momento GIFs and other to crash, according to a TechCrunch report. If SDK issues like these continue, developers may exclude Facebook from their list of single sign-in options and instead turn to platforms like Google or Apple.

Leadspace acquires ReachForce. B2B Customer Data Platform Leadspace has acquired privately owned ReachForce. ReachForce brings its complementary B2B solutions including SmartSuite and SmartForms to Leadspace’s CDP. Dave Cowings, chief marketing data scientist at RingCentral, a customer of both companies, said, “We’ve loved working with both the Leadspace and Reachforce teams, and we think they’ll fit wonderfully together. We see a lot of value in unifying all the data expertise that the Reachforce team brings on Leadspace’s powerful and flexible platform. More and more companies are starting to see this value too, so we look forward to where the new Leadspace team will take it in the future.”

KnowBe4 launches free Social Media Phishing Test. Cybersecurity firm KnowBe4 has released a free test for security and IT professionals to help them identify users who are most likely to fall for phishing attempts that appear to come from social media sites. The company reports phishing attacks overall have increased by 43%, with social media phishing attacks growing at a rate of 75%. The simulated phishing platform from KnowBe4 trains social media users by testing and training them to recognize ‘red flags’ and offers more targeted training for users who click on phishing content.

ShopAdvisor launches Customer Acquisition Accelerator Program. The new program from ShopAdvisor seeks to provide a turnkey targeting and brand awareness solution for small-to-medium restaurant chains and franchises. When looking to break through the digital clutter and find a solution that ultimately drives foot traffic into the restaurant, QSRs and fast-casual chains must take personalized messaging to new heights, said Jeff Papows, CEO of ShopAdvisor. “Our mobile proximity marketing campaigns, which are built from consumer data and contextual intelligence, deliver curated, customized offers to a single customer in sync with their mobile, online and in-restaurant preferences. By accessing rich, granular customer data that goes beyond generic signals, like gender and age, restaurant owner-operators can now execute customized mobile proximity marketing campaigns for millions of audiences of one.”

Marketers on the Move

San Francisco Bay Area startup Luckiyou.com has announced that Viraj Phanse will join as its strategic advisor. Phanse currently holds a product management and strategy role at Oracle’s Netsuite platform, and currently serves on the Rutgers Big Data Advisory Board and has worked on digital transformation initiatives with companies like IBM, Amdocs, Nokia and Pivotal, among others. 

IT and Logistic firm RiVidium (dba TripleCyber) appoints Jesi Smith as director, marketing and communications and will serve as the direct line supervisor for all proposal managers. “I have seen Jesi operate at RiVidium for the past year as my Senior Proposal Manager and her work ethics, passion and commitment to excellence has helped RiVidium up its game in the way RiVidium responds to Request for Proposals (RFP). We are delighted to have Jesi take over all marketing and proposal management for the RiVidium team,” said RiVidium’s President/CEO, Manny Rivera. “Jesi will bring deep experience and technical expertise to lead the Marketing Department and we look forward to great things from Jesi.”  In her new role, Smith will manage the company’s marketing and communication strategy and requests for proposals.

RapidScale announced that it has promoted Andrew Laughter to director of channels sales, East region. In his new role, Laughter will be responsible for leading RapidScale partner experience manager and developing channel presence and regional impact. “Andrew’s tenacity, creativity, and dedication to his trusted advisors make him the perfect leader to expand and enhance the rapidly-growing channel in the East region. His unrivaled responsiveness to partners’ unique needs helps them drive tangible results for their businesses,” said Bob Buchanan, Executive Vice President of Sales. “With the East Region growing rapidly, I am confident that he will be a strategic leader to help develop RapidScale even more, and help trusted advisors significantly increase cloud revenues for their businesses.”
