Slick New AdWords Report Editor Is Rolling Out With Drag And Drop Insights & Instant Charts
A new reporting tool from Google allows marketers to instantly create beautiful reports using a simple drag and drop format.
Running reports within AdWords has been a painful task for many search marketers. Since users couldn’t see the exact output of a report before running, it would lead to many inefficiencies in report creation. The process for many is to schedule reports to run, download them, find something missing from the output, adjusting, re-running and re-analyzing. Over the next few months, this problem may go the way of the dodo as Google has announced Report Editor.
This feature is a real-time reporting tool that uses drag-and-drop for customization. Marketers will be able to build custom tables that can be customized on the fly right in front of their eyes:
Not only will this tool have the ability to drag and drop items into the report, but it will be robust as well. Users will be able to sort, segment, pivot, filter and visualize data instantly. Data will have the ability to have multiple segmentation applied to it and the end result should be a finer tuned more visually appealing report with all the guess work removed.
