The most popular Twitter brand pages are out and the results are a mixed bag. Thanks to ZoomSphere, a social statistics firm, all of the Twitter brand pages can be tracked by popularity.
Out of the top 20 pages 8 are bands/artists, 6 brands, 4 celebrities, 1 news source and 1 Government entity (The White House). The international appeal of Twitter shows through as two of the top 6 pages belong to non-US singers. In maybe the least shocking revelation, Twitter was the most popular page on Twitter with 7,685,762 fans.
Not all celebrities/brands have actual pages, as they are only currently open to advertisers spending a set budget on Twitter advertising. This means that those celebrities/brands who haven’t converted to official pages will still show up as a profiles instead of a page. Now all of these pages would not crack the top 10 (or even top 15) if compared against the top Twitter profiles:
