Twitter is continuing their quest for better photos with an upgrade to the native Twitter editing tools. Rotation, cropping and tagging reminders have now made their way to the Twitter app for Android and will be hitting iOS soon.

The changes will allow users to crop photos quickly and easily with the built in “Move and Scale” screen. Users will now be able to properly size images when cropping to either original, wide, or square. Before sending the images out to your followers, users will also receive a prompt to @ mention friends. A quick 90 degree rotation tool is also included in this update for proper formatting.

An additional feature in the most recent update is content suggestions. This change is geared towards those Twitter addicts that continually pull down on their timeline in search of updates. Now if you update the timeline and those you follow haven’t provided an update you’ll see recommended Tweets, trending topics and suggestions for new accounts to follow:

  • Improvements to the photo cropping and image rotation
  • Better login verification.
