Aflac Launches #AflacSweeps With YouTube Page Takeover Game
The company is using its connection with college football's Heisman Trophy to tie the idea of speed on the playing field to speed in getting insurance claims paid.
As part of its partnership with college football’s Heisman Trophy, Aflac has teamed up with 1991 Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard for a new campaign that includes an online sweepstakes.
The company aims to connect the idea of speed on the playing field to speed in getting insurance claims paid. In a press release announcing the partnership, Howard said, “During my playing days, I learned the importance of speed on the field. But it’s just as important off the field – especially when it comes to getting insurance claims paid quickly to help you get back in the game of life.”
While the campaign will launch with a television commercial, the partnership sweepstakes will roll out across the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages with a YouTube homepage takeover August 28. The campaign hashtag is #AflacSweeps.

Three winners will get a one-on-one meet-and-greet with Howard as well as two tickets to one of three of the biggest college football matchups in November, roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and a $500 prepaid debit card to use as they choose.
