According to this month’s comScore Media Metrix report, Tumblr has climbed 12 places up the list of top 50 US Web properties in the last two months, moving from the 41st spot in March to rank 29th in May. Whether Tumblr will continue to be ranked separately from Yahoo remains to be seen as Yahoo announced last month their plans to acquire the blogging site.
When compared to comScore’s March report, this month’s Media Metrix of top 50 US Web properties reflects only slight changes, with flowers, gifts and greetings sites experiencing what comScore defined as a, “seasonal spike in time with Mother’s Day and graduations.” (Marketing Land’s request for comScore’s April 2013 Media Metrix report were unanswered.)
