Twitter’s ad buying shortcut — Quick Promote — has gone mobile.

The feature, which enables advertisers to bypass the ad dashboard to quickly promote tweets, today was made available on Twitter’s Android app.

Twitter engineer Ian Chan tweeted about the advance this afternoon, with how-to screen shots:

Here’s the drill:

  1. Navigate to one of your tweets.
  2. Tap the blue “Promote this Tweet” button.
  3. Choose budget and tap the green button to confirm your spending level.
  4. Results from the campaign are shown in real-time.

Twitter introduced Quick Promote last month as a way to simplify ad buying for SMBs. At launch it was available only within the Twitter analytics page. Last week, it was pushed to timelines on Twitter.com; making it possible to access by clicking on the graph icon under a user’s tweet:

Now, Twitter is bringing the shortcut to Android; we are told that an iOS version is in the works.
