As the arms race between Instagram and Vine wages on, one clear cut winner has emerged. Users. A new Android update brings all the features from the large iOS update earlier this month.

Vine stumbled out of the gate with Android users as it launched as an iOS only app. A new update however offers Android users features that Apple users are lacking. A new capture widget can be added to the homescreen in the most recent Vine update. This will allow users to instantly begin Vining, right from the home screen.
Additional features have also been added to the Android app that brings it up to snuff with the iOS version. Users can no revine and have access to channels. Additional camera tools will bring better focusing and an improved grid to the app.
