Thanks to Instagram’s rapid growth to over 80 million users, marketers are finally getting on board the social app. A recent study by social data & reporting company SimplyMeasured, shows that Instagram adoption is a growing trend.
Of the top 100 brands, 40% are now on Instagram. The largest social sites that brands adopt are Facebeook & Twitter with 98% and 94% adoption respectively. Google+ is third, with 64% of brands participating:
Of the top 100 brands 26% post 1 or more photos on Instagram a week, 17% have over 10,000 followers, 14% have 20,000 followers and 8% have over 100,000 followers. Marketers are also selective about their sharing. Only 32% of Instagram photos are shared to Twitter or Facebook.
