Working with design agency Studio Output and production studio Found, PlayStation has launched #20YearsOfPlay, a campaign that highlights some memorable moments along the brand’s 20-year history.

Last month, PlayStation UK spent 20 hours tweeting memorable moments from the brand’s 20 year history. The moments were collected in a Storify feed. The brand also collected celebratory tweets from fans and recently converted them into a video created by Studio Output and Found.

Of the tapping of fan social media commentary, Studio Output Creative Director Dan Moore said:[blockquote]”This was a particularly fun project for us as we were able to pull creative inspiration directly from the gamers’ emotion and excitement and transform it into tangible, reactive content. By taking a more minimalistic design approach, we ensured that the animated compositions didn’t detract from the authenticity of feeling, helping PlayStation give back to their fans and emphasizing that they are ‘For the Players.’”[/blockquote]

In the first 24 hours of its release, the video achieved upwards of 350,000 views. It’s now up to 417,000 views.

The video was posted to the brand’s Facebook page where it garnered 18,555 likes, 755 comments and 3,102 shares.

And it was posted to the brand’s Twitter page as well.
