Overall the firm says that mobile advertising in the US will be worth $2.6 billion by the end of 2012. The IAB said that mobile advertising was worth just under $1.7 billion in North American in 2011.

Mobile paid search is the largest single chunk of mobile advertising, just as it is on the PC. That’s projected to continue for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, Google is the leading mobile ad company today and throughout the forecast period.
