What’s the most important social media metric from your efforts? Not likes. Not shares. Not retweets. It’s unfollows.

That’s what Mike Germano, Chief Digital Officer at VICE, shared during the “How Vice Media Dominates Multi-Platform” session at the CES conference in Las Vegas today.

“When we start to annoy our users, they unfollow,” Germano said, explaining why that metric is so important to Vice.
