After generating 946 million video views in July, BuzzFeed is now a member of the “three-comma club” of top video creators, with a combined 1.8 billion video views in August.

The site’s flagship brand, BuzzFeed Video, won the most video views, at 772 million, earning it the top spot on Tubular’s top ten list of most popular video creators overall.

BuzzFeed Food wasn’t far behind, winning the No. 5 spot with 426 million video views.

Other BuzzFeed brands that helped the online media giant reach more than a billion views included BuzzFeedYellow with 243.4 million views, BuzzFeedBlue with 95 million views, and BuzzFeedViolet with 60.7 million views.

Tubular’s monthly list of the most popular video creators is based on total video views across YouTube, Facebook, Vine and Instagram for all devices.

The video metrics company says the top 100 creators in August generated a combined 26 billion video views across all platforms. According to Tubular, 34,000 video creators surpassed a million views during the month.

Last month was also the first month for a creator to reach a billion Facebook video views.

“August was the first month that any creator on Facebook received 1B+ video views in a single month,” says Tubular. The three creators to accomplish this feat included: Funniest and Craziest Videos with 1.1 billion views, SoFlo Antonio with one billion views and UNILAD with one billion views — all in the entertainment genre and all on Facebook video compilation pages.
