Building on its “Bankless World” brand awareness campaign, first-time Super Bowl advertiser SoFi has released its official Super Bowl 50 ad.

The nontraditional online lending agency, also known as Social Finance, Inc., is using its Super Bowl spot to help build brand awareness, investing in what it believes is the most efficient and cost-effective way to reach the widest audience possible.

“No amount of homepage takeovers, no amount of native content, no amount of posting would bring you the reach and the impact that a Super Bowl ad would,” said SoFi CMO Joanne Bradford in an Adweek report.

According to Adweek, the 30-second spot was created by the MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER agency and shot by Hollywood film director Marc Foster. SoFi’s “Great Loans for Great People” Super Bowl ad ends with the campaign hashtag, #SoFiGreat.

Before and after the game, SoFi will air the following ad, which is also part of its “Bankless World” campaign.

A representative for SoFi says that, along with its Super Bowl ad, the campaign will be supported via various digital channels, including: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, Pandora, NPR’s “The Moth,” the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast, Captivate and NYT Digital.

SoFi is one of many first-time Super Bowl advertisers this year, along with SunTrust Bank, Bai health beverage, Persil ProClean, LG, Shock Top and Amazon, which is using its Super Bowl spot to promote the Echo device.
