Google is continuing to go “all-in” with Google+.  Yesterday the move of Google Places to Google+ Local and today images were spotted in the wild of Events In Google+.  The messages were seen in German when visiting a Google Calendar.  The message shown to users stated that the events will work with current Google calendars, user circles and hangouts.

Last week the Verge spotted Event code in the new Google+ Android app that seemed to hint at looming event functionality.  The partnership would only make sense as Google Calendar is one of the most popular calendaring apps and Facebook offers very popular & robust event features for its users.
