While the synchronization between Twitter’s mobile apps and the web version has been a bit disjointed in the past, this soon may change. To date, there have been issues with the limitations on the history of DM’s on mobile as well as a disconnect with DM deletion and  viewing between mobile and web. A new Tweet eludes to fixings on the forefront that will soon bridge the gap between the web and mobile versions for both iOS and Android.

Twitter’s mobile version of DMs weren’t overly broken, rather discontinuous from the web version. Another Tweet also indicates that the syncing of deleted DMs will also become more consistent from mobile to web:

That Tweet references a page that states the overall back-end elements of the direct messaging system are being restructured. This may be a sign of Twitter bolstering their overall “chat” experience much like Facebook did with their messaging product as they even went so far to purchase group messaging service “Beluga” back in 2011.

So keep your eyes peeled, this cleaner, more fluid DM experience across all platforms will only enhance the potential of Twitter chat in the future.
