HubSpot recently introduced a new AI tool, ChatSpot. The app, currently in alpha, combines technology from HubSpot’s own CRM with OpenAI’s ChatGPT, DALL-E 2, and Google applications like Docs, Sheets and Slides.
ChatSpot provides an easier way for users to work within HubSpot’s CRM using general language prompts. The technology, which HubSpot calls “ChatUX,” can help users interact with the CRM and perform various marketing and sales functions in fewer steps.
There are several use cases for ChatSpot applied to HubSpot's CRM.For example, users can add contacts by typing the contact’s information into ChatSpot, rather than weeding through menus that's required in the traditional interface.
ChatSpot can generate emails and other messages that pull in contextual information about the company and contact the salesperson is addressing.Users can then copy ChatSpot generated messages and deploy them to their preferred channel.
ChatSpot also provides access to all of the information available in ChatGPT.In generating a report on global markets, for instance, the user can add columns of data from ChatGPT about populations of countries and other data not native to the CRM.
These generative AI and chat functions will eliminate repetitive tasks.
In doing so, this implementation of AI should enhance marketers' productivity and enable them to focus on higher-level tasks.
