Unruly announced today that it has partnered with Moat and News Corp to offer advertisers mobile vertical video ads. The first publishers to run Unruly’s vertical video ads include News Corp’s The Sun and the New York Post.

Measurement for the vertical video ads will be provided by Moat.

“The landscape is changing fast and our vertical format will help brands connect more authentically, intimately and effectively with mobile audiences,” says Unruly co-CEO and co-Founder Sarah Wood.

According to the announcement, the vertical video ads are compatible on both iOS and Android devices and meet the Media Ratings Council criteria for viewability. In addition to the new video ad format, Unruly launched “Vertical Video Collective,” a network of mobile-first content creators that focus on vertical video production.

Wood said the newly launched network will give advertisers, “… access to some of the freshest video makers, creating content that’s engineered to succeed in a mobile viewing environment.”
