Ruder Finn scoops up RLA
The public relations firm acquired RLA Collective, a marketing agency focused on over-the-counter brands. CEO Kathy Bloomgarden said she acquired the firm in response to changes in the healthcare industry, particularly the entry of Amazon, the increased use of data analytics and customers more actively managing their health.

Mavrck unveils new fraud detection tools
Influencer marketing platform Mavrck has released new automated tools to help combat influencer fraud. Mavrck is rolling out the capability to select customers as a premium feature and will make it available to more customers in the coming months.

Cheetah Digital acquires Stellar Loyalty
The move will combine the Stellar platform’s first-party data batch and streaming capabilities to create a predictive set of consumer engagement opportunities that delivers more relevant messages, campaigns and offers.

4C launches new partner marketplaces
The technology company introduced three new partner marketplaces for its Scope platform to deliver enhanced solutions for advertising targeting, creative and measurement. The launch includes an audience marketplace where advertisers can tap into a variety of external data sources; a creative marketplace where clients can manage ads and assets; and a measurement marketplace where clients can access integrations.

Arm picks up Treasure Data
The multinational semiconductor and software design company has acquired consumer data platform (CDP) Treasure Data. Arm says that the move completes its Pelion Internet of Things (IoT) platform.

Nintex acquires Promapp
The intelligent process automation (IPA) provider picks up business process management company Promapp. The company says that the move will help organizations better automate, orchestrate and optimize all business processes.

Dropbox adds storage to pro accounts
The company announced that it is giving Dropbox Professional and Business Standard accounts an additional terabyte of space, with no change in price. Professional accounts will get 2 TB (2,000 GB) of storage, while Business Standard teams will have 3 TB (3,000 GB) to share.

Mantis Vision adds Alces Tech
The 3D content capture and sharing technologies company announced that it has acquired Alces, a depth-sensing startup with patented high-resolution structured light-depth capture technology. The company says that the move will accelerate its go-to-market strategy, expand its portfolio and attract new talent.

Outreach buys Sales Hacker
The automation company’s first acquisition is a media firm that runs conferences and produces podcasts, webinars and other original content, focused on sales professionals. Outreach says the deal is about increasing awareness about sales engagement. Sales Hacker will continue to run independently.

DocuSign will acquire SpringCM
DocuSign says the acquisition will help it grow beyond electronic signatures to include steps such as preparing, signing, executing and managing agreements.

Martech Movers

Erin McCallion joins Outbrain in its newly created role of vice president for US marketing. She most recently served as vice president of global marketing at Mediaocean.

Ben Berkowitz joins Storyful as editor-in-chief. Berkowitz was previously vice president, digital at WNBC and has two decades of news experience with NBC, Thomson Reuters, the Associated Press and more.

SteelHouse promotes Rory Mitchell to the newly created role of chief customer officer. Mitchell was previously the vice president of client success.

Syncsort promotes Kevin Ruane to the new position of chief marketing officer. Ruane was previously Syncsort’s vice president of marketing and has held leadership positions within corporate marketing at NetSuite, NCR and Oracle.

Index Exchange hires Neil Dorken as chief financial officer. He joins the company from Air Methods, where he was senior vice president, finance and transformation. Index also added as general counsel Jason Chichetti, who had served as the company’s external counsel for the past several years.

Panasonic Avionics appoints Gaston Sandoval as global head of marketing and product management. Before Panasonic, Sandoval was chief operating officer at IBM Digital.

Convene hires Brad Kay as its first chief brand officer. Prior to joining Convene, Kay was president and partner of SS+K, an advertising agency partially owned by M&C Saatchi.
