We all know, thanks to Snickers, you’re not you when you’re hungry. That point was most recently driven home when we saw a very upset Marcia Brady turn into Danny Trejo in a Super Bowl ad. Now, the brand is turning the whole thing on its head with a Who Are You When You’re Hungry contest.

The campaign encourages Snickers lovers to share who they become when they are hungry.

To kick things off, the brand has launched the Snickers Meme Generator. On that site, visitors can choose a meme (Goth, Princess, Medusa, Witch, Emo, etc.), upload a photo (or choose from Facebook) and share their created hunger meme on Facebook, Tumblr or Twitter using the hashtag #EatASnickers.

The entry period runs through April 17. A panel of judges will select 10 finalists (those with seemingly far more creativity than I), and people will be asked to vote for their favorites between May 11 and July 15, as well.

There will be a grand prize of $50,000 with the possibility of being featured on the YouTube homepage. First runner-up gets $20,000, second runner-up gets $15,000, third runner-up gets $10,000 and fourth runner-up gets $5,000.

Of the contest, Snickers Brand Director Allison Miazga-Bedrick said:[blockquote]”Consumers and media have shown a lot of love for our ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign because it’s a theme that everyone can relate to. We’re excited to see all the hungry alter-egos our fans come up with, and which one America will vote as their favorite!”[/blockquote]

Snickers is promoting the contest on Twitter and Facebook:
