Twitter’s small business self-serve ads are arriving today for a limited number of advertisers. Announced last month, Twitter small business ads will be opening up for 10,000 American Express cardholders – they just won’t all be receiving access today. According to Twitter the planned roll-out will take a few weeks :
Today, American Express will begin to notify eligible Cardmembers and merchants that they can now start advertising on Twitter. Initially, only a small group of businesses will have access to this new advertising opportunity — we will steadily increase the number of participating small businesses over the coming weeks.
Cardholders were asked to register for this new opportunity back in February, but it’s not too late to still register for access. Some of the features that the small business ad platform contains are:
- Promoted Accounts
- Promoted Tweets
- Pay-per-follower pricing for Promoted Accounts
- Targeting by specific countries of metropolitan areas
