To promote his new Virgin Hotel in Chicago, Richard Branson has teamed with Jonathan Goldsmith, better known as Dos Equis’ Most Interesting Man in the World.
In a video, Branson shares various rumors about the hotel such as, “I’ve heard the scented shampoo smells like Beyonce’s hair,” “The beds are so springy, they’ve had to raise the ceilings 16 inches” and “I’ve heard there’s even a spaceport on the roof.” As Branson shares these rumors, Goldsmith acts them out as only Goldsmith can.
Viewers are then urged to visit the VirginHotels.com website and “Get A Rumor.” Get it? Get A Room-er? Once on the site, visitors can share (or make up) a rumor to be entered into a drawing to win a 2-night stay for two at the new hotel along with airfare, ground transportation and attendance at the hotel’s grand opening party.
To share a rumor, visitors simply enter their rumor along with the pre-populated #VirginRumors hashtag and click the Tweet Your Rumor button. Here’s a few submissions:
