Foursquare LogoFoursquare is out with a change to its app designed to automatically alert you to interesting things you’re near. Sounds ideal for Google Glass, as well as phones. But until “real people” are wearing them, don’t expect Foursquare to be coming to Google’s smart eyewear, says founder Dennis Crowley.

I’d asked Crowley about this on Twitter today, after seeing the news of the change to the Foursquare app:

His response was that until “real people™” are on the street with them, there won’t be a Google Glass app:

Fair enough. Few people do have Google Glass. But the Field Trip app for Google Glass, which I’ve been trying this week, is pretty amazing in doing what Foursquare aims. If Glass does grow, and Foursquare comes onto the platform, it’ll be interesting to see.
