Good morning, Marketers, can you circle back to something if it’s outside the box?

Artificial intelligence sounds like a nice, neutral thing. However, it’s as biased as the data it’s based on. This is a significant issue for marketers and martech as it can lead to bad information and bad outcomes. This is why we’ve got a deep dive on what causes bias in AI and how to mitigate it.

Of course, this isn’t only an issue for marketing. Nearly all (98%) of 300 HR leaders at U.S. companies say software and algorithms will help them decide who to lay off this year, according to a new survey. However, only 50% believe those systems will make unbiased recommendations. Hmmm.

On a brighter note: The MarTech Conference is only five weeks away! It’s free, it’s online and it has great, useful content. Go here to register and see what our experts will be discussing.
